Welcome back to a new and exciting school year. As we enter this new school year, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to provide our students with a Catholic education. I am hopeful for a year filled with unique experiences, refreshing challenges, and abundant successes for our students and our school. Our fabulous staff is as excited as I am to get this year underway! God is great!!
As we begin this new school year, I am reminded of the importance of our school community in the growth and development of our students. I am entering my twenty-seventh year at St. Patrick School and my fourteenth year as the principal. I cherish every opportunity to share in your students' days in the classroom, cafeteria, and playground. I am truly blessed to have the best job in the whole world because I get to watch each of these great students learn and grow every day, thanks to the support and involvement of our school community. Thank you for sharing your students with us.
I am the youngest of six children—three boys and two girls. I attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Ellis, KS, and graduated from Dodge City High School. I attended UNK for my bachelor's and master's degrees and have called McCook home for the past thirty years.
My husband, Donovan, works at the Bureau of Reclamation. Our oldest daughter, Breanna, has moved back and will get married in September. She works for ESU 15 as a Speech Language Pathologist and will make Cambridge their home. Our youngest, Cassidy, works at McCook Clinic. And, of course, Patrick, our certified therapy dog, comes to school daily and is so happy to have our students back in the hallways. Each year, as I watch our students grow into young adults, my head wonders where the time has gone, and my heart swells with pride at their accomplishments. Best of luck to our students.
